Imagine Dragons’ Dan Reynolds Announces He Has A Chronic Health Condition, ‘It Is My Greatest Battle’

Imagine Dragons frontman, Dan Reynolds recently unveiled the disease that he was fighting for some time and explained what he was doing to keep a healthy life in spite of it on his Twitter account in addition to opening up about his mental problems a short while ago.

It was known that Dan Reynolds had severe depression since his childhood. He tried to ignore it or use medicines to get rid of it and then he decided to go to a therapist to face his problems. Few years after this statement, the fans started to question that he might have the same problems again because he kept deleting what he wrote on Twitter.

Apart from his mental issues, he recently shared a physical problem, ankylosing spondylitis,  he had been dealing with via Twitter. Ankylosing spondylitis is a rare type of arthritis that causes pain and stiffness in the spine. Starting from the low back, it spreads up to the neck and other joints in the body. Even if it was so hard to endure these pains, Reynolds found his own ways to cope with them.

He gave a few tips to his fans to help them maintain a healthy life. He emphasized that keeping an anti-inflammatory diet, avoiding junk or fast food and sugar, doing exercises that comfort the body like yoga, strengthening the joints, and sleeping enough are very essential to live a long life full of health and joy.

Here’s what he wrote:

“Ankylosing spondylitis will never define me or deter me from living a healthy life. It is my greatest battle.

A few tips I’ve found helpful: avoid processed foods, low sugar intake, yoga,  anti-inflammatory diet, strengthen hinge joints through exercise, and good sleep hours.”
