In a recent tweet, Courtney LaPlante talked about Fred Durst’s unfair treatment of Spiritbox.

When the singer started a Q&A session with fans on X about their upcoming new album, ‘Tsunami Sea,’ a user said along with a photo of the poster of ‘Tsunami Sea,’ “I stapled these Fred Durst Lookalike Contest flyers over it yesterday and I would like to know if that was okay.”

“Fun fact, we did three shows of a tour with them and then they cancelled it and we never heard from them about it,” the Spiritbox singer wrote in her response.

Limp Bizkit announced in June 2021 that they would tour the U.S. with Spiritbox as the support band. The 12-date tour started on July 29 in Chicago and would end on August 24 in Los Angeles.

Limp Bizkit were supposed to play at the Stone Pony Summer Stage in Asbury Park, N.J., on August 7, but they canceled the show an hour before it was set to start. Later, the band canceled the remaining tour dates.

“Out of an abundance of caution and concern for the safety of the band, crew and most of all the fans, the Limp Bizkit show this Monday and the remaining August tour is being cancelled,” the band said in a statement at the time. “Refunds are available at their points of purchase. All tickets purchased online will be automatically refunded.”

After the tour was canceled, some people thought a Limp Bizkit member had COVID-19. A fan talked to Fred Durst outside the Stone Pony and said guitarist Wes Borland felt ‘really sick’ after the soundcheck. However, the band denied the rumors on social media.

“Let us be clear. 1. Wes Borland does not have COVID,” Limp Bizkit wrote on Instagram. “2. The system is seriously flawed. 3. We don’t care much about the BS. Times 2. We care a lot about you. To the six. ‘They’ can kiss it. Dad vibes coming soon.”

Spiritbox recently announced their second album, ‘Tsunami Sea,’ coming out on March 7. The album will include their latest single and 10 other tracks, including the new song ‘Perfect Soul.’
