Coldplay Releases The Official Music Video Of ‘Higher Power’

The British rock band Coldplay has recently announced a new music video directed by Dave Mayers for their single ‘Higher Power’ on their official Twitter account. The video is a futuristic exploration of an alien planet Kaotica, which is also the setting for the new album.
As you may know, Coldplay has been working on their ninth studio album. They had posted several tweets to share hints about the upcoming song’s release date and title and after the fans’ discovery, they had confirmed the details about ‘Higher Power’ on their official website.
The band had first shared the song with French ESA astronaut Thomas Pesquet, playing the hit in the space on the International Space Station, in accordance with the theme of the album and the song. They have also performed the song in the 2021 Brit Awards, with a lively stage show.
Recently, Coldplay’s official Twitter account announced that the music video of ‘Higher Power’ is released. According to the director of the video, the video is a metaphor for how we also feel alienated in our world as if we are on an alien planet. Dancing aliens and robot dogs can be seen in the video as Chris Martin, the lead singer of the band, dances among them in a dystopian atmosphere of the planet called Kaotica. ‘Higher Power’ is also known to be their first new music after two long years.
The tweet posted by Coldplay reads:
“Higher Power / Official music video / Watch now.”
