Coldplay Release Behind The Scenes Video Of Their New Song With Selena Gomez
In a recent Twitter post, Coldplay announced that they released the behind-the-scenes video of their latest song with famous singer Selena Gomez. The video was posted on Youtube and drew attention as much as the performance and official clip itself.
Coldplay released their latest and ninth studio album named ‘Music of the Spheres,’ also subtitled as ‘Vol I. From Earth with Love,’ on October 15, 2021, after almost two years of a break following ‘Everyday Life.’ The band teamed up with various bands and musicians such as We Are King, Jacob Collier, the Korean boy band BTS, and pop musician Selena Gomez to perform some tracks from the album.
Selena Gomez and Chris Martin sang ‘Let Somebody Go,’ and it was interpreted as a sad farewell to a beloved one. Before the release of the video on February 7, 2022, they performed it live on The Late Late Show with James Corden for the first time. They announced the video through their official social media accounts and invited their fans to watch it.
In the music video, Martin and Gomez act like a couple who decide to break up but feel sad and devastated. They are trapped in a world consisting of endless stairs until they realize that they have to let go. Their performance was appreciated a lot, and more than 20 million people viewed the video in a week. Then, Coldplay shared a tweet and stated that they released a behind-the-scenes video of the popular clip on Youtube.
Coldplay’s tweet read:
“‘Let Somebody Go’ with Selena Gomez. Watch the new video now.”
The band added:
“Behind the scenes at the ‘Let Somebody Go’ music video shoot with Selena Gomez.”
