Chris Cornell’s Widow Vicky Targets The Haters Who Hacked Their Foundation’s Website

Late Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell’s wife, Vicky Cornell, shared an Instagram Story to target the haters who hacked Chris and Vicky Cornell Foundation’s website. In her statement, she highlighted that they cannot prevent her from honoring her husband through their charity projects.

As you might know, Chris Cornell and Vicky Karayiannis tied the knot in 2004 and pursued a happy marriage until the singer’s suicide on May 18, 2017. The couple was known for its sensitivity towards social matters, and they founded a non-profit organization named the Chris and Vicky Cornell Foundation in 2012.

The NGO aims to help children who struggle with poverty, homelessness, and physical and psychological abuse. After Cornell’s death, his widow Vicky continued working on the foundation, which is why she was devastated when their website got hacked. We should remind you that, although they are considered one of the best couples in rock history, they still have a lot of haters.

For instance, some haters vandalized Chris Cornell’s statue at the Museum of Pop Culture in Seattle by using white paint last year. This had also devastated Vicky, who was determined to fight back, and she successfully restored the statue to honor her late husband’s legacy.

In her recent Instagram Story, Vicky Cornell expressed her feelings about the recent situation and comforted their worried fans, saying that the website was backed up. She added that she is very excited to announce the foundation’s upcoming projects and reflected her gratefulness for their volunteers who have worked nonstop for the organization and Chris Cornell’s legacy.

Vicky Cornell’s IG Story read as follows:

“While it is very sad that everyone would have so much hate that they hacked the Chris and Vicky Cornell Foundation’s website, you failed. When you vandalized my husband’s statue and gloated about it, you failed. You will continue to fail because love always outweighs the hate.

Just like the statue was successfully restored, the website is all backup, and I cannot wait to announce all our new partnerships and projects up ahead!

Loud love always wins!

Thank you so much to all our supporters. Your kindness means the world to our family and to keep Chris’ memory and legacy alive.”
