Several fans were injured during a Bad Omens concert on January 22 at Festival Hall in Melbourne, Australia, when part of the ceiling collapsed during a confetti blast near the end of the show.

The video footage shows the band performing their hit song ‘Just Pretend’ when a large ceiling tile and debris fell onto the crowd as the confetti was released.

The band seemingly didn’t notice the incident. They finished the song and even returned for an encore, performing ‘Dethrone’ to complete the set.

Reports indicate multiple injuries among fans. One person said on social media that their friend was injured at the show. “My friend got hit with it, soft tissue damage to her hand & maybe broken/fractured fingers. She’s (rightfully) f*cking pissed.”

Even after the incident, Bad Omens played another show at the same venue the next day. During the show, frontman Noah Sebastian told the crowd, “That was serious, for real, and I’m so glad everyone’s okay. First of all, I didn’t see that happen, I wanna make that very clear. I was in the zone, doing my thing. I was not expecting a ceiling tile to fall.”

He then recognized some fans who were struck by the ceiling tile during the second show, mentioning that he heard at least one person had been knocked unconscious.

According to The Wall Of Sound, the venue has denied claims that anyone lost consciousness during the show, though some fans from the second night said their friend did pass out. A spokesperson for Festival Hall has not yet addressed the injuries of the fan who was directly hit by the falling ceiling tile.
