Bruce Hall, former bassist of REO Speedwagon, recently expressed his continued hope for a reunion with the band. He shared his thoughts in a post on Facebook. The musician reflected on his desire to see the band return to touring and reunite with former frontman Kevin Cronin.

“Oh, how I wish REO Speedwagon (and my hair) were still touring!” Hall said. “I’ll never stop hoping if you guys won’t!”

The post included images from past concerts. It highlighted the band’s touring history and Hall’s ongoing optimism about a potential reunion with the group that ended their touring career.

Hall’s hopeful message comes amid a challenging period for the legendary rock band. The group has faced significant internal conflicts in recent months.

Vinyl Me Please reported that REO Speedwagon made the difficult decision to stop touring due to health concerns and “irreconcilable differences” among members. The band’s final performance took place at The Venetian Theatre in Las Vegas on December 21, 2024. This marked the end of an era for the classic rock group.

Despite the touring hiatus, the remaining members organized a special one-off reunion concert on June 14, 2025, at the State Farm Center in Champaign, Illinois. Parade noted that this event featured past members like Terry Luttrell and Mike Murphy, alongside founding members Neal Doughty and Bruce Hall. The concert notably took place without Kevin Cronin.

The reunion concert served a charitable purpose beyond nostalgia. YouTube coverage revealed that the event functioned as a fundraiser for the REO Speedwagon Foundation, which supports rare genitourinary cancer research. The concert also honored late band members Gary Richrath and Gregg Philbin. It paid tribute to their contributions to the band’s legacy.

Despite these recent developments and the ongoing tensions within the group, Hall’s Facebook post demonstrates his unwavering commitment to the possibility of reconciliation. His optimistic outlook suggests that the door remains open for future collaborations. This comes even as the band navigates through one of its most challenging periods.
