Bruce Dickinson shared exciting details about Iron Maiden’s upcoming tour in an interview at the Musicians Institute in Hollywood.
“The show that we’ve designed is unlike any other Iron Maiden show we’ve ever done,” Dickinson said. “I should not say anymore, ’cause once we get to the first two shows in Budapest, then everyone will be all over the social media saying what they think about it and so on and so forth.”
“I’m really excited. It’s like a whole new chapter for us, this new show,” he continued. “We’ve never really done a kind of greatest-hits tour. And if there was one, then this would certainly be it. I mean, the first 25, 30 minutes, I kid you not, is gonna blow people’s minds. They’re gonna go, ‘I can’t believe they’re playing that, that, that.'”
Dickinson made these statements during MI Conversation Series with host Ryan J. Downey on April 21, 2025. The band will debut their new show format in Budapest.
The announcement coincides with Iron Maiden’s preparations for their Run For Your Lives World Tour in 2025.
Reports from Planet Rock revealed the upcoming tour will feature a groundbreaking experience. The setlist will span the band’s entire career and include songs never performed live before.
The band has carefully crafted the setlist to highlight their extensive catalog. Dickinson emphasized that the first half-hour will surprise audiences with unexpected song selections.
Fans have speculated extensively about the tour’s content. Many expected a focus on early-career tracks. Dickinson’s recent statements suggest the band has prepared something beyond all expectations.
The new show format marks a significant shift from Iron Maiden’s previous touring productions. This change signals a strategic evolution in the band’s live performances.
