Brent Hinds’ ex-wife, Raisa Moreno, recently shared her late husband’s final message to her before his passing, posting the heartfelt note on Instagram.

The emotional post revealed the last words Hinds left for his Raisa before departing for what would be his final tour.

“He gave me this before leaving for the tour. I didn’t know how much it would matter,” Moreno wrote in the caption accompanying the photo of her ex-husband’s handwritten message.

The note from Hinds contained a simple but profound message to his beloved wife.

“I love you. I’m gonna miss you,” the message read, as shown in the photograph shared by Moreno.

Beyond his work with Mastodon, Hinds demonstrated his versatility as a musician through various side projects. The music community was shocked when Hinds tragically passed away on August 20, 2025, at the age of 51. Red Bull Music Academy documented that the accident occurred in Atlanta when a BMW SUV driver failed to yield at an intersection and collided with his motorcycle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
