Tom DeLonge started the new year with a broken rib. He confirmed the injury he received in a snowboarding accident through a post on Instagram.
The singer captioned a photo of himself, “Hours before I broke a rib snowboarding today. I was shredding, though. I guess skateboarding never really leaves the soul. Nor does falling every once in a while. Happy 2025.”
Fans wished the Blink-182 guitarist a fast recovery in the comments, with some teasing him about his love for action sports. One wrote, “Once a skater always a skater,” while another remarked with a laughing emoji, “You just live a life of courage.”
Blink-182 came from the southern California skate and surf scene in the 1990s. Over the years, Tom DeLonge developed a passion for snowboarding as well, often sharing photos of himself on snow trips.
DeLonge’s latest venture happened two months after Blink-182 wrapped up their 2024 tour, which supported their album ‘One More Time…’ The band is now resting before their ‘When We Were Young 2025’ performance in Las Vegas on October 18.
