Black Veil Brides has announced that drummer Christian ‘CC’ Coma will not be completing the remainder of the band’s 2026 European tour, as reported on their official Instagram. The band also confirmed that Wade Murff will step in as his replacement for the remaining dates.
The band addressed the situation in an official statement, explaining the circumstances behind Coma’s departure and introducing his temporary replacement.
“Due to an unfortunate personal and private matter, our brother Christian ‘CC’ Coma will not be on stage with us for the remainder of the 2026 European tour,” the band said. “We apologize for those who have noted the already announced Milan cancellation but this is a circumstance we needed to make adjustments to handle.”
The band also shared details about the touring lineup going forward.
“Our friend Wade Murff will be joining us for the remainder of the tour after Rock Am Ring and we look forward to seeing everyone at all of the subsequent shows,” they continued. “CC will be rejoining the tour for leg 2 in the US, please send him love and light at this time.”
In a separate personal statement, Coma opened up about the reason behind his exit, expressing gratitude for the support he has received.
“I have never felt such an overwhelming sense of love and support from all of my family, friends, and fans,” Coma said. “Thank you so much for reaching out and caring. It truly makes me feel appreciated.”
Coma went on to explain the deeply personal circumstances that led to his decision to step away from the tour.
“My Dad is nearing the end, and I have to be there for the man that made me who I am,” he said. “I apologize to my brothers and sisters in the BVB camp, the fans, and everyone affected by my exit from the tour, but I simply ask for your understanding during this trying time. I truly wish I could finish this tour and give it my all for you, however I couldn’t live with myself if I wasn’t there for him during his final days.”
Coma closed his statement with a message of reassurance to fans.
“I will return stronger than ever, and please do me a favor by going extra hard during the shows that I miss,” he said. “Thank you for your understanding as well as your sympathy, and I will see you all very soon!”
Coma is expected to rejoin the band when the tour resumes for its second leg in the United States.
Despite the lineup change, Black Veil Brides have made clear that the European tour will continue as planned. Murff will step in to keep the momentum going across the remaining dates.
Black Veil Brides are still scheduled to perform at Backstage in München on June 10, 2026, according to Bandsintown. This confirms that the band is pressing ahead with the tour in spite of the disruption caused by Coma’s absence.
The Milan show, which had already been announced as cancelled prior to this statement, remains the only confirmed date to fall through. All other upcoming European shows are expected to proceed with Murff behind the kit, giving fans reassurance that the tour experience will remain intact.
Murff’s role is understood to be temporary, covering only the European leg of the tour following Rock Am Ring. Coma’s departure is not a permanent split from the band, and his return has already been confirmed for the next phase of touring.
Coma is set to rejoin Black Veil Brides for the second U.S. leg of the tour. His exit is a personal leave of absence rather than a professional one. The band’s swift handling of the situation — securing a replacement and communicating openly with fans — reflects their commitment to honoring the remaining tour commitments while supporting their bandmate during a difficult time.
