Metalcore supergroup Better Lovers announced that they decided to part ways with founding frontman Greg Puciato. They are looking for a new vocalist, according to a statement shared on Instagram.

The band’s announcement addressed their decision to move forward with a different direction. It also provided updates on their upcoming projects.

“Better Lovers is parting ways with Greg Puciato,” the band said. “We’re proud of the work we’ve done together but we are moving in another direction.”

The statement continued with gratitude toward their fanbase and future plans.

“To all of our fans, thank you for riding with us these past few years,” they continued. “We’ve accomplished so much in such a short time with your support and we’re still beyond excited to continue down this road with you.”

The band also revealed details about their current musical endeavors.

“The four of us are finishing writing a new album which we are extremely proud of and currently looking for a new singer,” they added. “Thanks for your understanding, we’ll see you soon.”

The departure marks a significant transition for the supergroup. The band has achieved considerable success since its formation. Better Lovers represents a unique collaboration between musicians from two influential bands in the metalcore scene.

Chaoszine reported that Better Lovers was formed in 2023 following the breakup of Every Time I Die. The band consists of drummer Clayton Holyoak, bassist Stephen Micciche, and guitarists Jordan Buckley alongside Will Putney. The band brought together former Every Time I Die members with Puciato, who previously fronted the experimental metal band Dillinger Escape Plan.

The split appears to be amicable, with both parties maintaining mutual respect. Lambgoat noted that Puciato addressed the departure on his Instagram story, emphasizing the positive nature of the separation.

“No bad blood everyone’s cool don’t speculate love these people and love the band rooting for them all collectively and individually thanks to everyone for making the last few years special long live the frog,” Puciato wrote in his statement.

Blunt Magazine revealed that the project quickly carved out its own identity after forming in 2023. The band balanced the musical backgrounds of its members to create a distinctive sound. The band’s rapid success and the completion of their upcoming album demonstrates their creative momentum despite the lineup change.
