A photo of Slash and Axl Rose together has sparked hopes in fans that Guns N’ Roses may be working on new material. Urban Sound Studios shared a post on their official Instagram account and wrote:

“F*cking great!! We got to hang out with these two rock legends in the studio today. Really cool, guys! (The two in the middle) The band wanted a nice studio with a variety of speakers and headphones to listen to new mixes before they head for Glastonbury. It sounds awesome!”

Fans were quick to get excited about a possible new album considering it’s been many years since their 2008 album ‘Chinese Democracy.’ However, the mixes might also be new renditions of other tracks from the album as a follow-up to their 2021 releases of ‘Absurd’ and ‘Hard Skool.’

Slash had said on the Eddie Trunk podcast last year that there were a handful of songs that they had fixed and would like to release before getting into a new album. He said:

“There’s a handful of those songs that we fixed up and did when we were in lockdown, so those have yet to be released. Those are going to come out, and they are really good, too. I’m excited about those. We are just going to put out one or two songs and another one or two songs. That’s going to be pretty much all of them; I’m not sure exactly how many we did in total.”

The band hasn’t released any official statements regarding this possible new music they have worked on in the studio in between their show at the Tons of Rock festival. However, they are still on their world tour, and there are dates lined up till October, and you can find the ticket information here.
