Avril Lavigne Faces Trouble With Singing, ‘I Lost My Voice’

Canadian pop-punk icon Avril Lavigne recently shocked fans with a revelation about her vocal health on Twitter. The ‘Sk8er Boi’ singer, known for her powerful voice, found herself struggling to deliver her signature sound during a recent concert in Stuttgart, Germany. It seems Lavigne woke up unwell that day, which unfortunately led to the loss of her voice – a singer’s worst nightmare.

Fans of the singer are well aware that she is currently in the middle of her Love Sux Tour, her seventh major concert tour. This grand musical journey kicked off in support of her latest album, ‘Love Sux.’ This album, marking her seventh studio effort, was launched in 2022, followed by the tour that was initially set to start in February of the same year.

However, due to a myriad of challenges, including venue and travel restrictions spurred on by the ongoing global pandemic, the tour had to be pushed back to spring. European dates, too, were postponed to 2023. The tour officially started on April 30, 2022, in Orillia, Canada, and is set to wrap up on May 10, 2023, in London, England. The Stuttgart concert that Lavigne mentioned in her tweet took place on April 28.

In her heartfelt Twitter update, Avril didn’t sugarcoat her condition. She honestly shared that she had woken up feeling under the weather and, much to her dismay, had lost her voice. While this would be a daunting situation for any performer, Lavigne showed her grit and determination by pushing through and still taking the stage.

She expressed her gratitude to her Stuttgart fans, who she credited with helping her get through the performance. In a touching display of mutual affection, the audience sang along, providing the vocal support that Lavigne needed to complete the show. This sincere interaction between the star and her fans proves the deep connection between an artist and their supporters.

Lavigne’s tweet read:

“F*ck. I woke up sick today, and I lost my voice. Thank you, Stuttgart, for singing along with me tonight and helping me get through the show. I love you.”

The ‘Complicated’ singer wrapped up her tweet with a loving message to her fans in Stuttgart, who sang along while she struggled during her performance. Despite her struggles, Lavigne’s spirits were evidently lifted by the solidarity of her fans.
