This marks a significant milestone for the thrash metal veterans. It represents their first studio album release in more than ten years. The single and accompanying music video are now available for fans to experience.

The new album represents a major comeback for the thrash metal legends. They have been working on this project for an extended period. The band chose a prestigious location for recording. The album was captured at Dave Grohl’s renowned Studio 606 in Los Angeles.

Blabbermouth reported that Jay Ruston handled the production working alongside the band members themselves. This collaboration ensures that the authentic Anthrax sound remains intact while benefiting from professional production expertise.

The album title carries deep meaning for the band. Blabbermouth noted that “Cursum Perficio” is Latin for “My journey has come to an end” or “My journey is over.” This philosophical title suggests a reflective approach to their latest work.

The gap since their last release has been substantial. Blabbermouth confirmed that this is the band’s first studio album since 2016’s “For All Kings.” The decade-long wait has built considerable anticipation among fans of the thrash metal pioneers.

The lead single “It’s For The Kids” showcases the band’s signature sound. It features what has been described as buzzsaw-sharp riffs, explosive drumming, and head-banging hooks that demonstrate Anthrax’s continued relevance in the metal scene.
