During her recent appearance on SiriusXM’s ‘Trunk Nation With Eddie Trunk,’ Ann Wilson subtly hinted at a positive future for Heart with Nancy Wilson. As it seems, Seattle’s iconic rock duo has plans to join forces once again.

Ann On A Possible Reunion With Nancy

While not wanting to go into specifics, Ann mentioned in the interview that fans have reasons to be optimistic after the last leg of their show:

“We’re gonna do one more leg this year, in December. And then I’m not at liberty to discuss further plans at this time. I can say that Heart fans have a reason to feel optimistic… I really can’t say anything else for legal reasons.”

When Eddie Trunk asked her if there were plans for a new Heart album, Ann responded:

“Well, if the songs are there. If the songs are there, we decide whether they’re right for Heart or right for Tripsitter. The songs dictate where they go, and they don’t exist yet. So I can’t answer that, to be honest.”

One day after Ann’s radio appearance, the official announcement came: Heart will return to the stage for their first concert in four years.

Heart’s Upcoming Reunion Show

Scheduled for New Year’s Eve, Ann and Nancy will perform at the Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, Washington. Fans attending the concert will also enjoy performances by Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Evening, and the Space Needle will light up the sky with a firework spectacular.

The reunion is also timely, considering 2023 marks the 50th anniversary of Heart. Ann had previously indicated plans to commemorate this milestone.

The History of the Wilson Sisters

For many, this reunion has been a long time coming. The sisters had a tumultuous period after a 2016 incident involving Ann’s husband and Nancy’s sons. This led to strains in their professional relationship, resulting in individual projects. Nancy formed a new band, Roadscale Royale, and later Nancy Wilson’s Heart, while Ann continued with Tripsitter.

However, recent events hinted at a potential reconciliation. On October 10, during a performance in Santa Rosa, California, Nancy made a surprise appearance at Ann’s concert. The two performed the Heart classic ‘Barracuda.’

Besides, in interviews earlier this year, both sisters hinted at a collaborative spirit. Nancy mentioned her ongoing music projects with Ann and expressed enthusiasm about returning to a style like their work in the late ’70s.
