The new single, titled “The Room Where She Died,” serves as the opening track from her upcoming solo album. White-Gluz expressed her enthusiasm about the creative freedom this project provides in her statement.

“I hope you love this first offering from my upcoming solo album. You can watch the whole video on my YouTube Channel,” White-Gluz said. “‘The Room Where She Died’ is a song that feels truly satisfying to me; like I get to express myself in so many ways that have been dormant for years.”

Her upcoming album is diverse. She loves the idea of opening this new chapter with this song and video, which she wrote the script for. “Can’t wait to share more with you!” she continued.

The release of “The Room Where She Died” comes at a pivotal moment in White-Gluz’s career. Alissa White-Gluz exited Arch Enemy in November 2025 after spending 12 years as the band’s lead vocalist, Prime Timer reported. This marked the end of a significant chapter in her professional life.

The collaboration on this debut single showcases White-Gluz’s artistic vision and creative control. The music for “The Room Where She Died” was composed by Oliver Palotai, Kamelot’s keyboardist, Chaoszine noted. Alissa performed, recorded, and wrote all the vocals and the script for the music video herself. This demonstrates her hands-on approach to her solo work and her desire to express herself fully as an artist.

Arch Enemy officially confirmed the split on November 23, 2025, Loudwire reported. Mutual gratitude was expressed between the band and White-Gluz, along with well-wishes for her solo career. The amicable departure has set a positive tone for her next phase as a solo artist.

White-Gluz’s debut solo album is projected for release in 2026, Femmetal revealed. The upcoming project promises to be diverse and reflective of her personal artistic expression. This signals a fresh direction for the vocalist as she embarks on this independent journey.
