Alice Cooper Shares Opinions On Dee Snider And His Criticism Of Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame For Being ‘Elitist Assholes’

During a recent appearance on The Mistress Carrie Podcast, filmmaker and musician Alice Cooper talked about Dee Snider’s criticism on Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame.

Recently, Dee stated that Rock Hall committee members are arrogant elitists who are just looking for the bands that sell millions because the bands like Twisted Sister don’t look cool for them.

Alice agreed with Dee in some way and said that Dee also deserves to be in the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame because he wasn’t just a singer, he was an all-around personality.

Furthermore, Alice mentioned that Twisted Sister and Dee Snider should be in the Hall Of Fame because even though they didn’t sell huge amounts of records, they shaped the music and affected the scene.

Here is what Alice Cooper said:

“Dee Snider deserves. I mean, Dee was not just a lead singer; he did some politics there, and he was also a spokesman, and he was just an all-around great guy.

Twisted Sister didn’t sell a gigantic amount of records — they didn’t even make that many records — but they were effective. And part of the Hall Of Fame is how much did you affect rock and roll. That’s why bands that were not really… Like Tom Waits — how many records did Tom Waits sell?

I went in with him, and I really respect Tom Waits. I didn’t respect how many albums he sold; I respeced what he brought to rock and roll. So that’s kind of what they really go on.”
