It would be safe to say that Steven Tyler has been living the stereotypical life of a rocker, bearing in mind his on and offstage antics, excessive partying, and drug-infused lifestyle. In his fifty-year-long career, only the Almighty knows what the singer might have done, where he might have partied, and which cocktails he has enjoyed.
So, in true rock and roll fashion, Tyler took this bit of his personal life and experience and turned it into passionate showmanship as he invited the audience into his life, even for a few hours. However, there were times when Steven Tyler also could not bear to perform during a gig or sing, and in one instance, the frontman thought it was a good idea to pass out deliberately.
Still, Tyler loves his job and is quite passionate about singing, so it might be only fair that he believes that this fine ability has originated from a primitive quality of human beings. Steven went on to theorize that singing might have evolved from primitive humans, and he was pretty determined to prove it.

Rolling Stone named the best singers of all time in 2010, and Steven honorably took his place on the list; the frontman wanted to celebrate his talent by offering an innovative theory for where vocals might have originated from. Well, since we are talking about Tyler, the context of his idea might not surprise you because the frontman theorized that singing originated from sex.
“It had to be with the first primate uttering a moan during sex,” told Steven as he discussed his beliefs regarding the origins of singing. He argued, “I truly believe that’s where the passion of voice comes from. As Tony Bennett said, ‘Without heart, this is no art.’ I wear my ear on my sleeve.”
So, it might be natural for Steven Tyler to think that singing might have originated from sexual intercourse, as the frontman has always emphasized the importance of passion in music. Even if other rockers or critics might agree or disagree with this theory, it’s still safe to say that this comment portrayed how Tyler views singing and tries his best to portray some primitive passion in his music and showmanship.
