One comment read:

“LET THERE BE TOUR!!!”

One user commented while implying that they did not want to see Axl Rose instead of Brian Johnson again:

“If it’s a tour please have Brian Johnson not Axl Rose.”

Another said it could be an album with a theory:

“Uhhh that’s a new logo look… New album? Please?!?!?!”

While the Instagram post conveyed a straightforward message, another video was shared on their X, featuring a countdown, indicating that an announcement is on the road.

Is Cliff Williams Really Leaving?

In an announcement regarding AC/DC’s anticipated 2024 tour, comedian and avid fan of the band Dean Delray provided some information. Delray, who has a track record of performing the band’s music and conducting interviews with its members, disclosed that bassist Cliff Williams will not be part of the tour this year.

Williams, who announced his retirement at the end of the band’s latest tour in 2016, is apparently no longer touring, and the band will be playing with a new bass player this year, as Delray stated earlier:

“OK, last night I heard from a very reliable source that AC/DC will be touring with a new bass player this year. I’m not gonna say who it is. I’ll let AC/DC make that announcement, but I will say this: 3 years ago, I had Cliff Williams on my podcast, and he straight up said he would not be touring again and I was surprised that the fans didn’t seem to pick up on that.”

The ‘Secret’ Tour Details Were Revealed

The band is reportedly planning to put out a European tour, which apparently was supposed to be a secret. This announcement surfaced unexpectedly during a Munich city council meeting when Mayor Dieter Reiter disclosed that the band is scheduled to play at Munich’s Olympic Stadium on June 12 next year. After revealing the news, Reiter remarked:

“I didn’t know it was supposed to be a secret.”

AC/DC or its representatives have not officially confirmed these rumors yet. However, journalist José Norberto Flesch shared on social media the possibility of AC/DC performing at the Rock In Rio festival in Rio De Janeiro in September 2024.
