Mötley Crüe’s Nikki Sixx Prefers Short Tour Stint To Full-Year Schedule

In a recent tweet, Nikki Sixx said doing only 20 shows is better than being on a tour all year long.

The Mötley Crüe bassist wrote the following in his post:

“Press and rehearsals coming up before we all head east to start the summer shows. We are usually off tour or on tour, so for us to just do 20 shows in a year is gonna fun. Kinda best of both worlds… “

Mötley Crüe Will Change Their Setlist

Mötley Crüe will continue touring in May with the two shows at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City. Last month, Sixx revealed that there could be some changes in their setlist from their 2023 and 2022 tours. He said in a post on X:

“Great week for Crüe- worked on new songs with [John] 5 for the summer shows-Me and Tommy [Lee, CRÜE drummer] came up with a cool setlist and the stage set is moving along nicely. Lots of planning for new music release and boatloads of press being confirmed. I have this say, this was a Good Friday.”

Tommy Lee’s Recent Health Struggles

The band’s drummer, Tommy Lee, recently underwent an operation on his hand. He shared a message on Instagram after the surgery and said:

“Well, kids, it’s show and tell time… hope this doesn’t wreck your lunch. Only 3 weeks ago, I underwent a hand surgery by Dr. Glenn Cohen. He addressed 2 debilitating issues for me as a drummer, keyboard player, and pretty much everything to do with my right hand. And yesterday was f*cking monumental for me to the point of tears…. I have my life back and my money makers.”

About two weeks later, Lee updated the fans about his hand surgery, writing:

“5 weeks ago today, surgery was done! Healing, hands, hero, Dr. Glenn Cohen.”

Besides their upcoming tour, Mötley Crüe is also working on a new album right now. Sixx initially said the record would be a mix of country and hip-hop. Still, he later revealed that media outlets didn’t get his sarcasm. This spring and summer, Mötley Crüe will perform shows at Welcome To Rockville, Festival D’été De Québec, Louder Than Life and Aftershock.
