Zakk Wylde Shares Ozzy Osbourne’s First Message After His Life-Changing Surgery

Black Label Society’s lead singer and Ozzy Osbourne‘s lead guitarist Zakk Wylde recently appeared in a conversation with DannyWimmerPresents. Wylde revealed the first text Osbourne sent him after his life-changing neck surgery.

Ozzy Osbourne has faced health issues and has had difficulties walking correctly since the early 2000s. The rocker accidentally broke his collar bone, eight ribs, and neck vertebra in his estate in Jordans, Buckinghamshire, in 2003. He had severe surgery after the incident. Although he recovered from the surgery, his health problems followed him.

After a while, Zakk Wylde revealed Osbourne should have had another surgery because of the ongoing problems. The Prince of Darkness had to have physical therapy to recover completely. His wife Sharon and daughter Kelly addressed that the rocker’s condition was improving after this life-changing surgery.

Zakk Wylde shared in a previous interview that the singer would go through another one to improve his condition. During this interview, Wylde humorously called Osbourne ‘the bionic man of the metal world‘ by pointing out his getting through many surgeries.

Recently, Wylde shared what Osbourne texted him after having his last neck surgery. The Black Label Society singer stated that Osbourne sent a message after the operation saying he felt like he had given birth to a new neck. Wylde also noted the rocker would be better soon and return to music.

Zack Wylde revealed Ozzy Osbourne’s text:

“You know, Ozzy just had surgery the other day, another neck surgery. I texted him the night before. But then he went in, and he had the surgery. He texted me the next day and wrote, ‘Zack, I gave birth to a new neck.’ ‘I’m not sure what happened last night. I think I gave birth.’ Hopefully, we’ll bring the newborn out on the road. Hopefully, the boss will be better and can get back to doing what he loves.”
