Yngwie Malmsteen has announced his new studio album and released its first single.
The guitarist shared his thoughts on the new single and the upcoming album, expressing his creative vision and excitement for what’s ahead.
“My new single ‘Now Or Never’ is out now. This track captures everything I love about making music — power, melody, precision, and the freedom to create without compromise,” Malmsteen said.
“I’m also proud to announce my new album, ‘Hell Or High Water,’ arriving 13 November,” he continued. “Pre-order your copy now and be ready for what’s next.”
Hell Or High Water is set for release on November 13. “Now Or Never” is available now as the album’s lead single.
The announcement marks another significant chapter in one of rock’s most prolific careers. The new record arrives backed by a full music video for the lead single and a busy touring schedule ahead of its release.
Hell Or High Water will be Malmsteen’s 23rd solo studio album, released through Music Theories Recordings and Artone Label Group. The record adds to a catalog that has made him one of the most celebrated and influential guitarists in hard rock and heavy metal history.
An official music video for “Now Or Never” has been released alongside the album announcement. The video gives fans an early visual companion to a track Malmsteen has described as built around the core elements of his musical identity.
In the lead-up to the November release, Malmsteen is set to embark on a tour of China and Japan. The run is scheduled to kick off in Beijing on September 4, giving international audiences a chance to hear new material performed live before Hell Or High Water officially drops.
The album’s arrival comes roughly 50 years after Malmsteen first began his career. The milestone underscores the sustained creative output he has maintained across decades in the industry.
