Wolf Van Halen Recalls The Show That David Lee Roth Stops Singing To Break Up A Fight

Mammoth WVH founder Wolfgang Van Halen responded to a tweet posted by radio personality Jeremy White who reminisced about a Van Halen concert during which David Lee Roth paused the song to yell at some fans to stop fighting.
As you may know, Van Halen’s late guitar legend Eddie Van Halen’s son Wolfgang has become the youngest member of the band when he replaced the band’s bassist Micheal Anthony for the recording of ‘A Different Kind Of Truth’ album. It was Van Halen’s 12th and last studio album and following its release, Van Halen members began their ‘A Different Kind of Truth Tour’ on February 18, 2012, in Louisville, which was consisted of 46 shows in total.
‘A Different Kind of Truth Tour’ comprised of some of the reworked demos as well as previously released b-sides. The iconic frontman David Lee Roth previously defined the album as ‘a sort of collaboration with Van Halen’s past.’
Recently on Twitter, the radio personality Jeremy White shared a picture of Van Halen members which was taken during their show in Manchester NH on March 13, 2012. In his tweet, White shared an unusual incident that happened during the show. Apparently, David Lee Roth paused singing ‘Oh Pretty Woman’ to stop a fight in the crowd.
Here’s what Jeremy White stated in his tweet recalling an iconic Van Halen show:
“#OnThisDay March 13th, 2012, I got a speeding ticket heading down to Manchester NH to see the mighty Van Halen! It was this show where Dave paused Oh Pretty Woman in the middle to stop a fight in the crowd, was pretty epic! I love Van Halen!”
Wolfgang Van Halen responded to Jeremy’s tweet by stating he also remembers what happened that day clearly since it was hilarious. Wolf said that while they were in the middle of playing ‘Oh Pretty Woman,’ Dave stopped singing and started yelling at some people in the audience. According to Wolfgang, Roth yelled ‘stop the fucking fighting, fuck you‘ to the ‘Jerry Springer-esque fiasco happening in the first few rows.’
Here is what Wolfgang Van Halen wrote in his tweet about David Lee Roth:
“Lol, I remember this. In the middle of Pretty Woman, Dave stopped singing and yelled ‘Stop the fucking fighting, fuck you’ to the Jerry Springer-esque fiasco happening in the first few rows. Good times.”
