Will Smith’s Daughter Willow Drops New Punk Song And Announces The Release Date Of Her Album

The 20 years old musician Willow Smith who has been in the music scene for a decade, recently released a brand new song from her upcoming album and signaled that her music style has shifted completely from pop to punk.

Willow is the daughter of actor Will Smith and actress Jada Pinkett. She started pursuing a career in music when she was just 10 years old and released her first single ‘Whip My Hair‘ which ranked at No. 11 on the Billboard Hot 100. In 2015, she released her debut album ‘Ardipithecus’ and was credited as the sole songwriter on 11 tracks and sole producer on 10 of them.

Although she had taken a step back from music to co-host the well-known Facebook Watch show Red Table Talk and was awarded two NAACP Image Awards and two Daytime Emmy Award nominations, she finally decided to get back to her music. Even though she had mostly explored neo-soul and alternative R&B, she recently decided to experiment with punk.

In late May 2021, Willow released the single ‘Transparent Soul‘ in collaboration with Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker which ranked No.1 on the Billboard Rock Streaming chart. Just a couple of days ago, the young pop-punk rocker decided to drop ‘Lipstick’ which she performed, wrote, and produced. Willow’s album ‘Lately I Feel Everything‘ will be released on July 16, and it seems like it’s going to be a hit.
