Evanescence drummer Will Hunt recently shared exciting details about the band’s upcoming album, describing it as reaching “another level” in a statement made to Mark Strigl.

Hunt expressed his enthusiasm about the new material and provided insights into the creative process behind the highly anticipated release.

“It’s gonna drop sometime this year. I’m so excited for people to hear that,” Hunt said. “It’s cliché to say, ‘Oh, it’s the best thing we’ve ever done,’ but I this is insane. It’s another level.”

The drummer praised frontwoman Amy Lee’s creative direction and the band’s collective effort to push their artistic boundaries.

“Amy’s [Lee, Evanescence singer] really pushing the boundaries, and we’re all pushing boundaries,” he continued. “It’s just beyond my expectations, which is awesome. I’m a pretty tough nut to crack, man, when it comes to that. I just can’t wait for people to hear it.”

Hunt’s comments come as the band prepares to deliver their sixth studio album. This follows a creative period that has seen them explore new musical territories.

Loudwire reported that Amy Lee previously confirmed the album will arrive in early 2026, most likely in the spring. The frontwoman has been working on finalizing the remaining lyrics while the band puts the finishing touches on their highly anticipated release.

The upcoming record will mark a significant milestone. The Evanescence Reference noted it will be the band’s sixth studio album, following 2021’s “The Bitter Truth.” This new project represents the band’s continued evolution since their comeback and demonstrates their commitment to pushing creative boundaries.

Amy Lee has emphasized a unique approach to the album’s creation, stating “we’re doing this album kind of in a way that is very freeform…No rules except what the song wants.” This creative philosophy appears to align with Hunt’s observations about the band pushing boundaries and exploring new artistic territories.

AXS TV revealed that the album will feature multiple producers. Amy Lee will collaborate with different producers on various songs. This approach reflects the band’s commitment to experimenting with their sound while maintaining their signature style that has captivated fans for over two decades.
