Mötley Crüe’s Vince Neil has almost been in a plane crash, but being present at his own birthday party kept him safe. His girlfriend Rain Hannah was in the crashing plane but survived it with five broken ribs. She recently broke her silence on social media since the incident.
Tommy Lee’s wife Brittany Furlan shared a couple of pictures of Hannah from her jewelry business account on her Instagram story. “Sending love to our girl,” she wrote. Hannah reposted the story with hearts.
The crash happened on February 10. Pilot Joie Vitosky died, and three passengers survived with injuries, including Neil’s girlfriend. The dogs they were traveling with also survived. The crash occurred around 2:30 p.m. and shut down the runway.
After the crash, Mötley Crüe released a statement: “Earlier today, Vince Neil’s private plane crashed near Scottsdale, AZ. The pilot was killed, and the other passengers were taken to the hospital. Vince was not on the plane.”
They added, “Vince’s girlfriend and her friend were injured, but their lives are not in danger. Our hearts go out to the pilot and the injured passengers. We will announce how to support the pilot’s family soon.”
Vince’s friend confirmed Rain won’t compete in the barrel racing event because she needs time to heal both physically and emotionally.
The Learjet 35A, leaving Austin, had a landing gear failure and crashed into a parked Gulfstream aircraft. The pilot’s daughter clarified that her father’s vision was perfect even with his age. Vitosky was 78 years old.
