Vince Neil Returns To The Stage After The Disastrous Show That Got Him Canceled
Famous talk-show host Eddie Trunk shared a post on his official Instagram account revealing a video from Mötley Crüe lead singer Vince Neil’s most recent live performance. The show marked the return of the vocalist after the disastrous concert he gave, due to which he had received significant backlash.
As many of your might recall, Vince Neil gave a live performance with his solo band at the Boone Iowa River Vallet Festival on May 29, 2021. The setlist included several Mötley Crüe classics such as ‘Live Wire,’ ‘Kickstart My Heart,’ and ‘Girls, Girls, Girls,’ which made it the perfect opportunity for the singer to prove himself before the band’s upcoming ‘Stadium Tour.’
Although fans were excited to see Vince Neil, since the band members were supposed to be getting in shape for their upcoming tour, the performance became one of the most disappointing ones in Vince Neil’s career. The singer started shaky as he sang with the help of back vocalists, and eventually, it became apparent that Neil was running out of breath. Therefore, the Mötley Crüe singer decided to leave the stage in the middle of the performance, apologizing to the crowd for losing his voice.
After being criticized for leaving the stage due to his lack of stamina, although he was supposed to lose weight and train his voice for months, Vince Neil canceled his show at Batavia Downs Gaming & Hotel, scheduled for June 18. Even though the musician never revealed the reason behind this cancelation, it was pretty clear that Neil wasn’t ready to hit the stage after that unfortunate performance.
A few weeks ago, Mötley Crüe’s frontman broke his silence and shared a post on his official Instagram page announcing his return to the stage. Vince Neil announced four dates, and he was supposed to start with a concert on August 6, 2021, at the Nashville IndyCar race, and give his final one on August 14, 2021, at Hippopotamus Swim-Up Bar.
Although Vince Neil was expected to be performing at the Nashville IndyCar race, Eddie Trunk recently revealed that the rockstar hit the stage earlier than expected at a private event. In addition to sharing a video from Neil’s performance on his official Instagram page, Trunk praised the Mötley Crüe singer for improving his voice immensely and becoming the best version of himself after a long time.
The caption of the IG post reads:
“More Vince Neil from the private event I hosted last night in Austin. Vince Neil and Mötley Crüe fans should know he sounded great last night. Best I’ve heard him in a long time. Great to see and hear!”
While Eddie Trunk thinks Vince Neil sounded better than ever, countless fans think the Mötley Crüe singer still has a long way to go if he wants to perform for the Stadium Tour. According to many fans, Neil sounded better than his last performance, which was regarded as a career-ending moment.
A fan thinking Neil wasn’t good enough commented:
“He sounds better but he seriously needs to get fit for the Crue tour or fans are going to demand their money back.“
Another fan praised Vince for his efforts:
“I hate that so many people say such bad things about Vince he’s 60 years old, I think he’s doing great for his age, people are so rude now and they would never say that to his face.”
A fan who thinks Neil sounded terrible said:
“Oof. He sounds terrible but better than he has in some time I guess. Pretty low bar. Clearly, he’s avoided getting into touring shape…”
It is clear that there are still countless fans who think the frontman isn’t good enough to do a whole tour. Nonetheless, the fact that Eddie Trunk is quite hopeful, and has underlined his improvement, can be seen as a good sign.
