Mötley Crüe Singer Vince Neil Announces New Cancelation After Losing His Voice
Mötley Crüe frontman Vince Neil has recently canceled his upcoming second solo show in New York at Batavia Downs Gaming & Hotel on June 18. Although the administration didn’t reveal a detailed explanation about the reason for this cancellation, the cause is most likely Neil’s latest live performance which was an epic fail according to many fans.
As some of you might recall, Vince Neil recently performed with his solo band including bassist Dana Strum, guitarist Jeff ‘Blando’ Bland, as well as drummer Zoltan Chaney at the Boone Iowa River Vallet Festival. The fans were pretty excited since the frontman performed a setlist including Mötley Crüe’s ultimate classics such as ‘Live Wire,’ Kickstart My Heart,’ and ‘Girls, Girls, Girls,’ as well as the opportunity to see Vince’s recent shape now that the band is expected to hit the road for ‘The Stadium Tour.’
Unfortunately, after fans uploaded videos from the performance to YouTube, everyone was pretty surprised to see Vince Neil singing most of the songs with the help of the backing vocalist in addition to being out of breath throughout the whole performance. Furthermore, Mötley Crüe’s singer disappointed his fans as he left the stage in the middle of performing ‘Girls, Girls, Girls’ due to the fact that he couldn’t sing anymore and lost his voice.
While the performance created quite the controversy since expectations were high when it comes to Vince Neil, especially when the band members constantly stated that all four of them were preparing themselves for the upcoming Stadium Tour which was postponed to 2022 once again. However, after seeing Neil walking off stage due to losing his voice, fans are now concerned that he might not be performing one concert anytime soon let alone performing a whole tour.
Apparently, Mötley crüe fans’ fears were right as it was recently announced by Batavia Downs Gaming & Hotel that Vince Neil’s upcoming show on June 18 is now canceled. While the hotel administration didn’t reveal further details about the decision, the show which was supposed to be his second live show in 2021 was most likely canceled since Neil wasn’t able to perform and see the end of another concert.
According to Braverwords, the official website of the hotel released this:
“Batavia Downs Gaming & Hotel announced today that due to circumstances beyond their control, the concert on June 18, 2021, will no longer feature Vince Neil. Batavia Downs hopes to welcome Vince to Batavia Downs next summer. On June 18th, 2021, Batavia Downs will now welcome Mark Farner’s American Band to the Rockin’ The Downs Summer Concert Series.
Please note that tickets purchased for the Vince Neil concert will still be honored on that date. Those wishing for a refund may do so through their point of purchase. Info can be found inside of your ticket confirmation email. Tickets purchased at the Lucky Treasures gift shop may be refunded during normal gift shop hours.”
There’s no doubt that the announcement didn’t come as a surprise to most Vince Neil fans, however, they are hoping for the best for the upcoming Stadium Tour since it’s a year away from now and the Mötley Crüe frontman needs to work on his vocals as well as his shape in order to be ready for performing throughout a whole tour due to the fact that the band’s fans are expecting so much more of him.
