Vince Neil Recalls David Lee Roth’s Injury At A Mötley Crüe Party

In a recent interview, Mötley Crüe frontman Vince Neil talked about the time David Lee Roth got injured at one of their parties by a door falling on his head.

Mötley Crüe has been currently continuing their long-awaited ‘Stadium Tour‘ with Def Leppard, Joan Jett & the Blackhearts, and Poison. It marks the band’s first live performance since wrapping their farewell tour in 2014 and 2015. The tour, eagerly anticipated by the fans, finally kicked off on June 16, 2022, in Cumberland, Georgia. The group will be hitting North America until their last show in Las Vegas on September 9.

The opening act for the Stadium Tour is Classless Act. However, there were other names in Mötley Crüe members’ minds before them. The group’s bassist Nikki Sixx initially reached out to David Lee Roth to open for them, yet Diamond Dave rejected the band’s offer by saying that he doesn’t prefer open for the bands he influenced. After this negative reply, Classless Act earned the opening spot.

During a new interview, Vince Neil recalled another memory with David Lee Roth at one of their parties. The rocker stated that people were coming to their parties from different levels of society. There were some prominent names of the rock and roll world, posers who were there to show off, and ordinary people. Then, Neil remembered the time the door fell on and injured David Lee Roth’s head while he was having drugs when someone banged on it.

The time David Lee Roth got injured, in Vince Neil’s words:

“It was packed, and you’d get people from every walks of life. This guy just happened to walk in as a Mötley fan to David Lee Roth, the guys in Def Leppard, or the guys of the Scorpions. It would be a rock and roll elite, just posers and regular people. Someone banging on the door, and the door fell on David Lee Roth’s head while he was snorting coke.”
