Ex-Turnstile guitarist Brady Ebert has made serious allegations against his former bandmates, accusing the band of performative politics and misappropriating charity funds in a statement shared on Instagram.
Ebert’s accusations center on claims that the band engages in disingenuous activism and allegedly stole money from a charity event. His statements provide new insight into his departure from the popular hardcore band.
“Lmao, no one in turnstile cares at all about ethics or social issues in general, they’re just pandering to their audience,” Ebert said.
The former guitarist also made specific allegations about financial misconduct during a charity show.
“At Turnstiles first free show they did, they claimed all proceeds go to healthcare for the homeless. We raised 10000 dollars, but I watched Brendan steal 4000 dollars from that and claim he needed to ‘pay the merch bill,’ which was false,” he continued.

These explosive accusations come amid ongoing tensions between Ebert and his former bandmates. They reveal deeper conflicts that have persisted since his departure from the group.
Ebert’s public outburst was reportedly triggered by Turnstile’s recent Instagram story featuring a sign reading “abolish ICE.” He viewed this as performative activism. The Mosh reported that this particular post prompted Ebert to speak out about what he perceives as the band’s disingenuous political stance.
The guitarist’s exit from Turnstile in 2022 was notably contentious. Circumstances remained largely private until now. The Mosh noted that drummer Daniel Fang filed a restraining order against Ebert during the split. Specific details of the conflict were not publicly disclosed at the time.
Despite the acrimonious departure, Ebert has continued his musical career and is preparing to release new material. The Mosh confirmed that he is set to release the debut EP from his new band, The S.E.T. This marks his return to the music scene following his departure from the Baltimore hardcore group.
The allegations raise serious questions about Turnstile’s charitable activities and internal band dynamics. They cast a shadow over the group’s public image as socially conscious artists. The band has not yet responded to Ebert’s accusations regarding the alleged misappropriation of charity funds or his claims about their political motivations.
