Travis Barker Shares Hopeful Post-Surgery Update Regarding Blink-182 Reunion Tour

Travis Barker updated his fans about his recovery process with picture posts and short captions on Twitter and Instagram. The drummer’s posts hinted at a fast recovery, which raised hope for the Blink-182 reunion tour.

Barker had an operation on his left hand after two injuries that hindered his ability to play, causing the long-awaited Blink-182 tour to be postponed. After the surgery, the drummer informed his fans about his condition and explained that medical intervention was necessary for him to continue playing.

Luckily, his recent posts, almost a week after post-operation one, showed his non-bandaged hand with a wound healing well and a few pictures of him playing drums or holding sticks. While his post on Twitter supported a simple caption greeting his followers, the message on his Instagram referred to the Blink-182 reunion’s fate.

The drummer’s Instagram caption read:

“If you wanna make god laugh, tell him about your plans.”

Although there weren’t any updates about the tour, Barker’s post carried a hopeful and humorous atmosphere toward his recovery, which was reflected in fans’ comments as they accepted the reunion tour’s fate. They expressed their feelings about the cancellation through joking remarks to match the musician’s tone and pointed out his thriving healing process.

A fan on Instagram, referring to the caption of the post, wrote:

“Me when I told God that I was finally going to watch Blink-182 live in Mexico.”

Another fan on Twitter commented on his fast recovery as follows:

“Actually looks real for only a few days and barely any swelling!”

Overall, even though he seemingly won’t be able to play in the near future, Travis Barker’s condition is improving with each passing day. Blink-182 reunion tour’s fate may remain the same, but there is still hope for an early recovery, which can affect the tour dates again.
