Toto guitarist Steve Lukather has announced some big surprises for the band’s upcoming European tour.
Lukather shared the news on his Instagram account and shared his excitement for the tour. “I just wanted to say that we’re really excited for the tour. The rehearsals went great, we got some great stuff, we’ve refurbished the whole set. We’ve got eight things we haven’t done ever, or one thing we’ve never done ever, things we haven’t done in forever, big surprises,” he added, teasing the new elements of the show.
Lukather reassured fans that they will still be playing all the fan-favorite hits. “Yes, we’re playing all the hits, wouldnTt let you down there. But, it’s a brand new setlist, it’s nothing like the last two years, want to keep it fresh for you, want to keep it fresh for us. So anybody thinking, ‘It’s not the same as last one,’ you don’t wanna be there.”
“We’re really excited and proud, looking for a comeback to the U.K. after all these years and looking to see you all out there,” he added.
Toto and Cross will stop in the U.K. and 10 other countries for their tour. The bands performed at the Hollywood Bowl last September after finishing a successful run with Journey.
After their tour is done on March 2, Toto will go on another tour in July and August 2025 with Men at Work and Christopher Cross, making stops in cities like Boston, St. Louis, Charlotte, Nashville, Phoenix, Las Vegas, Salt Lake City, and more. It will feature Toto’s Joseph Williams, Greg Phillinganes, Shannon Forrest, and Warren Ham. Lukather and Ham have also played in Ringo Starr’s All-Starr Band.
