Tool and Puscifer frontman Maynard James Keenan has announced a new film about martial arts titled ‘The Great In Between: An Introduction to Jiu Jitsu.’

The film will begin streaming on December 13th via Puscifer TV and is described as a ’90-minute class’ designed as a ‘hands-on seminar for beginners and those curious about Jiu Jitsu,’ according to Keenan’s press release.

Filmed at the Verde Valley Brazilian Jiu Jitsu academy in Cottonwood, Arizona, the film features Keenan and his fellow black belts guiding viewers through ‘the essential development of stabilizing muscles and myelin connections, building a foundation for success in this confidence-building, puzzle-solving martial art.’

“You can do this,” Keenan stated. “We’ve got your back. Not literally. But we can also teach you how to get us off your back. See what I did there?”

‘The Great In Between: An Introduction to Jiu Jitsu’ was directed by Chris Staab and features music from Puscifer. Pre-orders for the film as a 72-hour rental and various commemorative merchandise bundles are available now via Puscifer TV.

Alongside the film, Keenan has plans for a musical tour, with the Sessanta tour returning for its ‘V.20’ run in April. The tour will feature A Perfect Circle, Primus, and Puscifer.
