Tom Morello Explains How He Is Connected To A Crime Family

Rage Against The Machine guitarist Tom Morello took his official Instagram account to share a new post and revealed how he is connected to a crime family.

As you might already know, the Morello crime family is one of the earliest crime families that placed in the United States and New York City. They were based on Manhattan’s Italian Harlem, and they were active in between 1890 and 1931.

In the post, Tom wanted to touch upon the fact that his ancestors were part of this crime family and revealed some of the information about the Italian Morello crime family.

While Tom was saying that the Morello crime family was so big that they were called ‘boss of bosses,’ he also managed to impress his followers with this interesting piece of information about his family tree.

Here is what Tom Morello said:

Born in Corleone, Sicily, in 1876, Giuseppe “the Clutch Hand” Morello was the first boss of the Morello crime family. He was famous for having a one-fingered deformed right hand that resembled a claw.

In the 1890s, Giuseppe founded a gang known as the 107th Street Mob, which would later evolve into the Morello crime family (today the Genovese crime family, the oldest of the Five Families in New York City).

By 1905, Morello had created the largest, most influential Sicilian crime family in New York City and was recognized as “capo di tutti capi” (boss of bosses) by Mafia leaders in other U.S. cities.”
