Tom DeLonge Shares An Update On Mark Hoppus’ Cancer Treatment
Blink-182’s Tom DeLonge revealed the latest news on Mark Hoppus’ health status by sharing a new post on his official Instagram account.
In June 2021, Mark unveiled that he was diagnosed with cancer in March and has been undergoing chemotherapy since then. During this period, Hoppus has been sharing updates about his health frequently on social media. Some weeks ago, he had pointed out that the last days of the chemotherapy will be harsh, and fans have been expecting some updates.
In addition to that, his friend and former bandmate, Tom Delonge, has also been giving information about Mark’s treatment. About a week ago, he revealed that Mark’s treatment is almost done. As if this news wasn’t good enough, Tom also leaked their recent conversation and showed that his friend’s chemotherapy treatment has ended after a successful treatment schedule.
In Mark’s words, there is no more treatment planned right now because the chemotherapy did work, and he is cancer-free. After this great news, all fans expressed their excitement for a reunion, but these wishes were left unanswered.
Tom DeLonge captioned after sharing the conversation:
“I wanted to be a good friend to Mark Hoppus and just give some modest advice on what he should do next, now that his Chemo treatments have subsided and it looks like they may have worked wonderfully.”
Mark Hoppus’ text message to Tom DeLonge:
“No more [treatment] planned. Doctor said I can take my port out. I think because he thinks the chemo did the trick and I’m done but also if the chemo didn’t work, we do a different treatment entirely?”
“That’s great news. Time for living. You need to f*ck as many things as possible. Shoes, gopher holes, golfers. Anything you can catch.”
