Tom DeLonge Confirms Blink 182 Members Consider A Reunion

Blink-182’s Tom DeLonge recently made an appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden. During the show, he revealed his insights on a possible Blink-182 reunion and said the band members are considering reuniting.

Tom DeLonge was a member of Blink-182 from its formation in 1992 up until the band’s hiatus in 2005. Following the band’s breakup in 2005, he formed Angels & Airwaves and continued his musical efforts. Although DeLonge returned to Blink-182 in 2009, he parted ways with the band again in 2015.

Back on June 23, 2021, Blink-182 bassist Mark Hoppus announced his cancer diagnosis. He also revealed that he had been receiving cancer treatment for the last three months. In the following months, Hoppus continued to receive therapy to battle the disease, and he had Tom DeLong on his side. Throughout this time, Blink-182 had to go on a hiatus.

Now that Mark Hoppus is declared cancer-free, Blink-182 fans are quite excited to see them together again. During The Late Late Show with James Corden, Corden told DeLonge the same thing and asked him if this excitement makes him feel like it’s time for a Blink-182 reunion.

As a response, Tom DeLonge mentioned the band’s previous breakups and said he feels like they always talk about a reunion. Moreover, he revealed that they are all eager to find a time to do it. DeLonge then said the most important thing is for Mark Hoppus’ to get better, and they are all down to a reunite.

During The Late Late Show with James Corden, James Corden asked Tom DeLonge that:

“You say the fans are excited, and you’re excited. Does it make you feel like, ‘Oh, man, this is the time. We have to do some kind of reunion as a band’?”

Tom DeLonge then answered:

“It’s so funny, you know. In Blink, it’s like we’re there, and then we’re gone, and we’re there, and then gone. I feel like I’m always talking about a reunion. We always talk about playing together again.

I think we’re all definitely interested in finding the time to do it, and where it lines up with everybody’s priorities. All that is needed is getting Mark healthy and strong again. Yeah, I’m down to do it, those guys are down. I think just finding the time to do it and when is what we have got to figure out.”
