Tom DeLonge And Travis Barker Support Mark Hoppus After He’s Diagnosed With Cancer
Blink-182 co-founder Tom DeLonge and drummer Travis Barker took their official social media accounts today to show their support to Mark Hoppus after he announced that he’s diagnosed with cancer and he’s been undergoing chemotherapy for cancer for the past three months.
Yesterday, the bassist and co-lead vocalist of Blink-182, Mark Hoppus, made an official announcement about his current health status on his Twitter account. The Blink-182 star stated that he’s on chemo for a while now and he still has months of treatment ahead of him. Right after Mark stated that he’s trying to stay hopeful and positive, he shared another picture reading, ‘Yes hello. One cancer treatment, please!’
After sharing the bad news, his friends and musicians in the music scene shared supportive messages for Hoppus, including his former bandmate and Angels & Airwaves star Tom DeLonge, and Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker. While Tom called Mark ‘super-human’ in his tweet, Barker shared some of their rare photos from the past and penned a simple and plain message to his long-time buddy.
Angels & Airwaves star supported his friend saying:
“I too, have been aware of Mark Hoppus’s cancer diagnosis for a while now. And to add to his own words that he used today, I would also like to say that he is strong, and a super-human who is pushing through this difficult obstacle with a wide-open heart.”
Travis Barker wrote this:
“Love you, Mark Hoppus.”
