TNT’s Ronni Le Tekro Recalls Writing Some Riffs For Dee Snider’s Album

The Norwegian heavy metal guitarist TNT‘s Ronni Le Tekro has worked with several names in the rock world, including Twisted Sister‘s Dee Snider. The guitarist told Chuck Shute about the time he wrote riffs for Snider as well as a commercial that aired on Norwegian television in 2012.

Tekro had worked with Reb Beach during the 80s glam metal era, also around the similar time he wrote the riffs for Twisted Sister’s 1987 track ‘Me and the Boys.’ Those days of working with Snider even carried on to his wardrobe, where Dee’s wife would make the clothes he would wear.

In 2012, Snider did a commercial for a Norwegian company called Unibet. In the broadcasted commercial, the frontman sang as the frontman of Twisted Sister on a track called ‘Bet’ that Snider wrote himself, and Ronni played a mega role by composing the track.

Ronni Le Tekro’s words about writing a few riffs for Dee Snider:

“I think it was with Reb Beach or the other guys. I played some stuff, and I wrote a few riffs on like five-six songs. I made ‘Me and the Boys,’ a few of those songs I remember. I still have a great relationship with Dee Snider; yeah, so you know I stayed at his house for some time when we worked on some of that stuff, and his wife Suzette made some of, you know, the cool clothes I was wearing in the ’80s ’90s. We did a commercial together. I wrote a commercial where he sang five years ago a TV commercial, so we still have, you know, some connection.”

So the two musicians go way back and have crossed paths in different stages of their careers, not only on Twisted Sister tracks but also on a TV commercial. Whether they will collaborate again in the future remains to be seen. Only time will tell.
