Tim ‘Ripper’ Owens recently shared a favorite cuss word he used on stage during an interview with Sense Music Media.

Recalling a memory related to the word, he said, “Last time I was in Melbourne, I had a guy out in the crowd, and he was so excited. He was standing next to my girlfriend the whole time, and he didn’t know that was her. He was like – I started saying ‘c**t’ on stage because I’m allowed to say it in Australia. So, I said it, and I think I might have called the crowd a bunch of ‘c**ts.’”

“I think I said, ‘Oi, c**t, duck us a tinny!’ That’s what I said to him,” the singer continued. “And the guy started saying – he was just yelling, ‘Ripper, c**t! Ripper, c**t!’ He was at his beer. ‘Ripper, c**t!’ and he looked at my girlfriend. He said, ‘I don’t get out much. I got kids at home, and I got a job. I don’t get out much.’ And he’s going, ‘Ripper, c**t!’ I’m like, ‘This is fantastic. This is great.’”

Ripper is going back to Australia soon for his solo tour, ‘The Loudest Voice in Metal.’ The trek came after he wrapped up his 2024 gigs with KK’s Priest in October.

The band spent 2024 traveling through Europe and America but didn’t schedule any dates in Australia. Owens explained why by saying, “I think one reason is there’s a lot of people touring. I mean, in America it’s just non-stop. Our KK’s Priest tours did pretty well in America, but it’s expensive for big bands. We can’t come to Australia — KK’s Priest. We tried. We’re hopefully gonna do it. We tried to get there, but the guarantees and expenses, it wasn’t adding up, so KK’s not doing it. We’re not a new band that goes and loses or breaks even or whatever.”

The vocalist will perform solo in Sydney on February 20. He will then head to Brisbane, Adelaide, and Perth before finishing the tour in Melbourne on May 14.
