Third Eye Blind’s Singer Addresses His Scene In ‘Pam & Tommy,’ ‘I Never Heard Mötley Crüe’

Third Eye Blind’s Stephan Jenkins recently joined an interview with Variety in which he talked about the scene he played in the series ‘Pam & Tommy.’ At some point during the conversation, Jenkins admitted never listening to Mötley Crüe before.

In 2018, Hulu announced ‘Pam & Tommy,’ the series which tells the story behind the viral sex tape of Tommy Lee and Pamela Anderson along with showing the fans details about the couple’s relationship. The series portrays Sebastian Stan as Tommy Lee and Lily James as Pamela Anderson, and it debuted on February 2 on Hulu, Disney+ (Star), and Star+.

In ‘Pam & Tommy’s fifth episode titled ‘Uncle Jim And Aunt Susie In Duluth,’ Sebastian Stan as Lee and his bandmates went to a studio to rehearse. The year is 1996, and the Crüe and Third Eye Blind have a debate over who will take the bigger studio room. However, according to the band’s singer, no such thing happened back then.

In a recent interview with Variety, Third Eye Blind’s Stephan Jenkins stated that they were actually never in the same studio. He then said both bands were far away from each other at that time, and he never even heard or listened to Crüe.

Moreover, Jenkins revealed that his first introduction to Tommy Lee and Anderson was the sex tape, and he saw Lee’s penis before hearing about the Crüe. He then added that it was surprising to see Lee and Anderson on a houseboat while watching the tape as they were supposed to be rock stars and movie stars.

In the interview with Variety, Stephan Jenkins said the following about Mötley Crüe and Tommy Lee:

“Mötley Crüe and I’ve never been in the same studio. I recorded my whole first album in Northern California. So we were across the state from each other at the very least. I had never, in fact, listened to Mötley Crüe. I never even heard them.

I actually saw Tommy Lee’s penis before I ever heard their band. I was like, ‘Well, good on ya, Tommy. Well done, lad.’ I literally had never heard them. But I somehow saw the sex tape. I’d also never seen ‘Baywatch.’ So I had never seen Pam or Tommy. That was my first introduction to them.”

He then continued:

“I thought, these guys are supposed to be big rock stars and movie stars and they’re still on a houseboat? It’s all doable. That’s what I thought, there was a sort of middle America element to it.”

Back on February 19, 1995, Tommy Lee and Pamela Anderson got married. The couple then decided to record a sex tape while on honeymoon, but the tape went missing after a while. The couple then discovered it was stolen, and their sex tape was all over the internet. The tape then went viral and became placed among the most famous and scandalous celebrity sex tapes.
