The Story Of Elvis Presley’s 14-Year-Old Girlfriend, Priscilla Presley

Elvis Presley had always been regarded as one of the most important cultural icons of the century thanks to his one-of-a-kind music career that lasted for three decades. His music career involved many legendary aspects such as his charming attitude, star quality, and style choices. Although the musician was referred to as the King of Rock and Roll and was admired by countless people, Presley had a problematic childhood that led to his emotional destruction.

For those of you who might not know, Elvis Presley actually had a twin brother named Jesse Garon who passed away only 35 minutes before he came to this world. The incident left the musician with a big hole in his heart and haunted him for the rest of his life. Presley’s mother Gladys was incredibly protective of him after losing one child. As a result, the King of Rock and Roll grew up with an overly shielding mother and the loss of his twin brother, both of which affected his future.

Surprisingly enough, the legendary musician oftentimes felt like he wasn’t enough, especially with women. Fearing that he might not measure up to their expectations, Elvis Presley had troubled relationships with minors. His behavior, obviously, had its roots in Presley’s dysfunctional upbringing and throughout his career, he had been with many teenage girls who were mostly only 13 or 14 years old.

The most famous relationship Presley had was with his future wife Priscilla Beaulieu with whom the musician started dating when she was only 14 years old. Let’s dive into the inappropriate love story of the couple.

Elvis Presley Started Dating Priscilla Beaulieu When She Was 14

While in Friedberg in the military, Elvis Presley met the breathtakingly beautiful 14-year-old Priscilla Beaulieu to whom the musician was introduced by an airman named Currie Grant. The two first met at Presley’s home in the town of Bad Nauheim, near Frankfurt and the musician was instantly moved by the dark-haired, blue-eyed beauty of Priscilla.

At the time, Priscilla was ten years younger than Elvis Presley, and even though their relationship was portrayed as sweet and innocent to the public since the age gap is immense, the two were sexually active from the start. Although Presley often lost his interest in young girls after spending a few days with them, he actually fell for Priscilla and the two spend years together before getting married.

Elvis and Priscilla eventually got married after a seven-and-a-half-year courtship on May 1, 1967, with a brief ceremony in their suite at the Aladdin Hotel in Las Vegas. The couple didn’t wait long for a child as Priscilla gave birth to their daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, on February 1, 1968, nine months after getting married.

Five years after getting married, the couple became increasingly distant and Elvis Presley brought up the possibility of leaving Priscilla on numerous occasions. Inevitably, the Presleys separated on February 23, 1972, after Priscilla revealed her relationship with a karate instructor Presley had recommended to her.

Only five months later, Presley moved in with his new girlfriend Linda Thompson, meanwhile, the couple filed for divorce. Their love story was over. However, it was still surprising that the King of Rock and Roll had managed to maintain a relationship for years with Priscilla and the two had a marriage that lasted way longer than expected.
