The Pretty Reckless frontwoman Taylor Momsen revealed that she was bitten by a massive spider while on the AC/DC tour. She required medical treatment before hitting the stage in Mexico, as shared on Instagram. This marks the second incident for Momsen during an AC/DC tour, following a bat bite during a live show last year.

Momsen addressed the spider bite incident in a social media post. She explained the medical treatment she required before performing.

“So it wouldn’t be an AC/DC tour if I didn’t get bit…this time a massive spider decided to take a chunk out of me and its venom did a number on my system so had to have the wonderful doctors in Mexico come and deliver quite the shot before the show last night,” Momsen said. “Add it to the list! Spider woman? Batgirl?”

The incident required immediate medical attention from doctors in Mexico. They administered treatment to counteract the spider’s venom before Momsen could take the stage for her scheduled performance.

This latest incident occurred during the Latin American leg of AC/DC’s Power Up World Tour, where The Pretty Reckless serves as the opening act. Parade reported that the quick medical attention Momsen received allowed her to recover and continue performing despite the serious nature of the venomous spider bite.

The PRP noted that the spider bite incident was revealed through Momsen’s social media post on April 8th, 2026. In her post, Momsen showed off the spider bite, which appeared noticeably swollen. She joked about when her “superpowers” would kick in following the venomous encounter.

Despite the medical emergency, The Pretty Reckless is scheduled to continue their tour commitments in Mexico. Parade confirmed that the band has two more performances scheduled in Mexico to wrap up the Latin America leg: April 11 and April 15, both at Mexico City’s Estadio GNP Seguros.

Following the completion of the Mexico dates, The Pretty Reckless will begin the North American leg of the AC/DC tour in July through September, covering multiple states and Canadian provinces. This incident adds to Momsen’s growing list of unusual tour experiences, cementing her reputation for persevering through unexpected challenges while maintaining her commitment to live performances.
