The New Beatles Documentary Will Be Released With An Accompanying Album, ‘The Beatles And India’

It has been announced that the legendary rock band, The Beatles’ newest documentary entitled ‘The Beatles in India’ will be released soon and the details about the companion album of the movie, ‘The Beatles and India: Songs Inspired by the Film’ has been also shared.

The Beatles’ journey to India in 1968 was reflected in different documentaries. One of the Beatles’ documentaries about India named ‘Meeting the Beatles in India’ was released on September 9, 2020. The movie was directed by Paul Saltzman and it reflected the band members’ journey to India while Maharishi Mahesh Yogi was mentoring them through their spiritual change.

Then, the latest documentary movie about their journey, ‘The Beatles in India’ was directed by Ajoy Bose who is the writer of ‘Across the Universe – The Beatles in India.’ It based on the spiritual journey of The Beatles and their deep connection with India. The movie will be released on June 6, 2021, and along with the movie a companion album will also be released in Fall.

In the companion album of the movie, ‘The Beatles and India: Songs Inspired by the Film,’ The Beatles songs such as ‘Tomorrow Never Knows,’ ‘Mother Nature’s Son,’ ‘Gimme Some Truth,’ and ‘Across The Universe’ were performed by different Indian artists. Nikhil D’Souza’s cover of John Lennon’s ‘India, India’ was released on May 28, 2021, as the first single of the album.
