The Beach Boys have called off a scheduled stop on their “Pet Sounds 60” tour. The Univest Performance Center confirmed the abrupt cancellation in a statement.
The venue’s announcement addressed the reason behind the last-minute decision, as well as what ticket holders can expect going forward.
“Due to circumstances beyond the control of the Univest Performance Center, the Beach Boys concert scheduled for Friday, September 25, 2026, has been canceled,” the statement said.
The venue also outlined the refund process for affected ticket holders.
“All tickets purchased for this concert will be automatically refunded,” the statement continued. “No action is required on your part. Refunds will be completed within 5-7 business days and will be issued to the original method of payment.”
The Quakertown cancellation is not an isolated incident. It comes as part of a broader wave of last-minute cuts to the band’s September schedule, deepening uncertainty around the tour’s near-term future.
Two other stops fell alongside the Univest Performance Center date. The band’s show at the Big E Arena in West Springfield, Massachusetts, originally set for Thursday, September 24, was scrapped. A planned appearance at the Alabama Theatre in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, on Sunday, September 27, was also canceled. All three cancellations were announced within a single day of each other, just before the tour was due to resume.
Neither the band nor its representatives have offered a detailed public explanation for the cancellations. The timing is notable, however. It follows a roughly two-month break from touring, which the band took after postponing more than 30 dates on the “Pet Sounds 60” tour amid unspecified health issues affecting frontman Mike Love.
The Big E Arena addressed its own cancellation. It indicated the band needed more time before returning to the stage. “The Big E was intended to be the band’s first date back following a string of show cancellations last month but they determined that additional time was needed before returning to the stage,” the venue said.
Despite the string of setbacks, the rest of the “Pet Sounds 60” tour remains on the books for now. The band’s next scheduled performance is set for October 9 in Bloomington, Illinois. This suggests the cancellations are limited to this cluster of September dates rather than a broader shutdown of the tour.
