Matty Healy of The 1975 recently teased a new album with a cryptic message on his Instagram stories.
On December 27, the singer shared a meme on his Instagram stories with the text: ‘I am going to create an album that is so good.’ He added a comment saying:
“I’m feeling it.”
It’s unclear whether Healy’s upcoming album will be a solo project or new material from The 1975. However, the rocker also included some images of track ideas and demos in progress, with names like ‘lpf1,’ ‘Send to Ben for animation,’ and ‘wonderviewwonderwho.’
The 1975’s Future Touring Plans

In August 2023, the band led the Reading and Leeds Festivals for the third time, celebrating 10 years of their first album. Their fifth and largest North American tour started in September 2023. At the first show in Sacramento, Healy said the band would take a break from touring after this. However, for some, this likely just indicates they’re planning to work on recording a new album.
Controversial Moments Of Healy

In other news, Healy was involved in controversy when he kissed his bandmate during a show, causing a festival in Malaysia to be canceled. However, the country recently decided not to ban future concerts over this single event. Deputy Minister Teo Nie Ching stated:
“Just because of one incident, how can we cancel the others? Out of 296 artistes only one happened. How is this fair?”
The vocalist also faced criticism for seemingly making a Nazi salute at a concert in January and for laughing at derogatory remarks about rapper Ice Spice in a podcast. Ice Spice had previously said she loved The 1975’s music. Healy apologized at a concert, and Ice Spice expressed confusion over his comments in a Variety interview.
