The 1975’s Matty Healy Is Open To Work With Hayley Williams And Paramore

Paramore and the 1975 members have spoken so highly of each other lately that fans are almost sure they will soon arrange a collab. During his last interview with Audacy, 1975 vocalist Matty Healy was shown a video of Hayley Williams praising them, and he seemed pretty happy and ready for collaboration.

“That’s so cool,” Healy said after watching the video and then revealed that they have also texted each other. “We did speak on message because she’s been so nice about the band, and I thought that was a bit of an excuse to talk to Hayley from Paramore, isn’t it? And then yeah, I think they’ve just finished touring, and we’ve said that we’d try and hang out at some point.”

He continued, “Paramore, even though they’re the same age as us, [when] they came out, they were a lot younger than us when they broke, so they sit in the part of my heart, you know, like Dashboard [Confessional], so they’ll always be a very special band to us.”

In the video in question, Paramore frontwoman mentions 1975’s vocalist Matty Healy’s support for their band. In an interview with KROQ, she had said that he always comes to see them whenever they play in Manchester and that Matty sent a very sweet message to the Paramore members. Later, she stated that he also wanted to hang out sometime and hinted at a collaboration.

Paramore and 1975 already have a lot of fans in common. So such an idea would get most people very excited. Paramore has recently been gearing up to drop its new album ‘This Is Why’ in February of 2023. The last album of 1975, ‘Being Funny in a Foreign Language,’ was released last October. Both bands are currently continuing their live shows.
