Ted Nugent recently shared his thoughts on the rising British artist Yungblud, addressing the ongoing debate about whether the young musician represents the future of rock music. His comments were made during a statement featured on Ted Nugent’s YouTube channel.
The rock veteran expressed his strong support for Yungblud’s talent and potential, particularly praising his collaboration with Aerosmith members.
“Now, I got to tell you this what this Yungblud guy, limey freak madness. This guy’s the real McCoy,” Nugent said. “Watch this Yungblud that’s working with Steven Tyler and Joe Perry. It gives you hope that the really piss and vinegar that James Brown the original Chuck Barry, Little Richard is alive and well and this kid called Yungblud.”
Nugent continued to elaborate on his enthusiasm for the British artist’s approach to rock music.
“What a great name. Yungblud from England. He’s a screamer. He’s a squalor,” he continued. “I was texting back and forth with Steve and Joe and he said, ‘This guy’s just like us,’ which were the last of them.”
This endorsement comes amid ongoing discussions about Yungblud’s place in the rock music landscape. Opinions remain divided on whether he has what it takes to become the next major rockstar.
Nugent’s praise comes at a significant time for the British artist. Yungblud has recently achieved a major milestone in his career through his collaboration with the legendary rock band Aerosmith.
Aerosmith’s official website reported that Yungblud (real name Dominic Harrison) teamed up with Steven Tyler and Joe Perry to release a collaborative EP titled “One More Time” on November 21, 2025, via Capitol Records. This marks Aerosmith’s first new music in over 12 years, making the collaboration particularly significant for both artists.
The partnership began when Guitar World revealed that Joe Perry received a call about Yungblud wanting to work together in Sarasota, Florida. What started as a simple meeting quickly evolved into something much bigger.
“A year ago, I got a call that Yungblud wanted to come to Sarasota to work with me and write some songs. I had heard his single and said, hell yeah, this guy’s got the juice,” Perry explained.
13th Floor noted that the collaboration resulted in four original songs plus a remixed version of Aerosmith’s classic “Back in the Saddle.” The EP’s lead single “My Only Angel” was released on September 19, 2025. It features both Tyler and Yungblud in a powerful duet over Perry’s signature guitar work.
