The iconic musician, Taylor Swift announced the release of the 90’s remix version of ‘Willow’ which was one of the most popular tracks of her latest ninth studio album entitled ‘Evermore’ with the aim of expressing her gratitude for her fans on her official Twitter account.
As you may remember, Taylor Swift released her eighth and ninth studio album in a very short time. With the release of ‘Folklore’ on July 24, 2020, and ‘Evermore’ on December 11, 2020, Swift broke the Guinness record of the shortest gap between two number-one albums on the Billboard. After the digital release of ‘Evermore,’ she recently broke another record.
The album’s vinyl version started to be sold on May 28, 2021, and it broke all-time sale vinyl records in one week replacing Jack White’s ‘Lazaretto.’ Since the release of the album and its tracks have been appreciated by her fans and received very positive critics from her fans and musical authorities. ‘Willow’ became the most popular song of ‘Evermore’ and watched by almost 80 million viewers for now.
Taylor Swift revealed that she released the 90’s remix version of ‘Willow’ on June 3, 2021, on her Twitter account. She reflected her gratitude for her fans for breaking the all-time sales record and this version was released only on her website to thank her fans. She hoped that they would like it but she added that they can also prefer the original version for more emotional times.
Here’s what she wrote:
“You guys went and did the nicest thing this week and broke the record for biggest vinyl sales week… like ever? Now we dance. The willow (90’s trend remix) is a thank you from me, available today only on my site.
Put her on repeat for a good time but if you don’t want to have a good time there’s always champagne problems & every other song on ‘Evermore’ so you can get deep in your deepest feelings.”
