After a two-year break, Taylor Swift is back on the music scene with her tenth studio album, ‘Midnights,’ released on October 21, 2022. A music video for the record’s lead single, ‘Anti-Hero,’ also dropped on the same day of the album’s release. On October 25, the singer shared the second video from ‘Midnights’ for the song ‘Bejeweled.’

In 2021, Swift released two re-recorded albums, the first ‘Fearless (Taylor’s Version)’ and the second ‘Red (Taylor’s Version),’ and it wasn’t until 2022 that she was back with some original material. ‘Midnights’s sound can be described as electronic pop, dream pop, synth-pop, and chill-out music, differing from her previous experimentations with alternative folk music.

As Swift said, it is a concept album with thirteen tracks inspired by the thirteen specific restless evenings she’s had over the years. ‘Midnights’ explores the themes of insecurity, anxiety, and self-criticism. The record has been a tremendous commercial success since its release, breaking the record for the most streamed album on Spotify in a single day. Besides that, Taylor has become the most streamed artist in a single day on Spotify.

After the first music video for ‘Anti-Hero,’ Taylor Swift released a second video for the album’s ninth track, ‘Bejeweled.’ It was written and directed by the singer herself, inspired by the story of ‘Cinderella.’ The music video featured Swift, her longtime collaborator Jack Antonoff, the Oscar-winning actress Laura Dern, Haim, Dita Von Teese, Pat McGrath, and many others.
